Successful Living Center

Bringing Generations Together

Home: Welcome

A Message from the Founder and Chief Executive Officer

My vision for Successful Living Center, an intergenerational day care site, sprang from my personal and professional experiences.  My desire to start an Alzheimer's adult day care center began when both of my grandmothers were diagnosed with Alzheimer's.  While working with families in Alabama's Early Intervention Program, I saw a need for day care services designed to promote the greatest potential in special needs children.  As a registered nurse, wife, and mother of two children, I understand the importance of blending generations and teaching respect for people of varying needs and abilities.  My goal in the creation of Successful Living Center is to provide a caring, compassionate, and uplifting environment that enhances self-esteem and self-worth for young and old. Successful Living Center’s staff is committed to enhancing the quality of life for the families that we serve. We understand that daily in-home dementia care can be overwhelming at times.  Our goal is to provide flexible daycare and respite services that allow you to sustain employment or manage other responsibilities more freely. Structured adult-daycare also provides a viable alternative (or bridge) to fulltime assisted living or nursing home care.  And while those services may be needed in the future, interim adult daycare may provide you with the time needed to better evaluate all of your higher-levels of care options. Should you need us, we look forward to serving your family.
